The PLAT4FOOD project wants, through the cooperation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vratsa, UCV, ODIMM and GITA, to support the international commercial development of a group of EaP and EU SMEs and BSOs operating in the bio-food sector with the definition and development of common products and services for internationalization. The PLAT4FOOD project will create a set of transversal activities dedicated to cover the needs of EaP SMEs and BSOs (with concrete internationalization potential) in the first phases of approach to export towards the EU markets.

The project will implement a study visit action, whose objectives are on the one hand to support SMEs to look for international business and cooperation partnerships with foreign manufacturers, service providers, suppliers and distributors in order to develop productive and commercial collaborations. On the other hand, to support BSOs to develop international cooperation activities applying new business models based on ‘smart aggregation’ of products, and support the know-how and best practices transfer and technology transfer in the manufacturing and packaging process, especially at “filière” level.

Also, the PLAT4FOOD project aims to support the EU and EaP SMEs in starting new business relations and negotiations with potential partners on international markets and in developing their cooperation with foreign partners. The Project will design and implement specific operative tools and services for the benefit of biofood EU and EaP SMEs participating in activities (promotional platform, marketing plan and marketing campaign, promotional events) that will support the SMEs in developing new promotional and commercial actions on international markets, and increasing their export potential. The matchmaking events in Italy and Georgia will create the opportunities to access new markets (with an homogeneous offer in terms of biofood products), develop new business collaboration on sectoral basis.
