On 10 September 2026, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vratsa held the fourth online stakeholder meeting under the SymbioTech project – “The European Alliance for Advancing Circular Economy via Industrial Digital Symbiosis”.

During the meeting, participants were introduced to the progress achieved so far, the concept of digital industrial symbiosis (DIS), and the profile of the SymbioTech Manager – a specialist who combines sustainability, technology, innovation and business thinking. The developed training programmes for higher education and vocational education and training were also presented.

Special attention was given to the upcoming digital solutions, the SymbioTech AI-Assisted Collaborative Platform and the SymbioEnergy Tool, which will support companies in identifying opportunities for resource exchange, cooperation and improved energy efficiency.

By the end of 2026, the project will focus on finalising the digital tools, delivering a training-of-trainers programme in the Czech Republic, and preparing for the pilot implementation of the developed training materials.

The SymbioTech project is implemented under the Erasmus+ programme from November 2024 to October 2027 and brings together organisations from 11 European countries. Its aim is to support the green and digital transition through the development of new competences, innovative training programmes and digital solutions for industrial symbiosis.
