Between 24–25 March 2026, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vratsa participated in the second partner meeting of the RESPONSE project – “Reporting ESG and Sustainability Performance Tailored to the Specific Needs of Small Enterprises”, funded under the Erasmus+ Programme.
The consortium brings together five partners from four European Union Member States, possessing the necessary expertise for the successful implementation of the project. The project aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in improving their ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting practices by providing targeted support and training for entrepreneurs, managers, and employees.
The meeting took place in Valencia, Spain, and was hosted by the Cámara Oficial de Comercio, Industria, Servicios y Navegación de Valencia, one of the project partners. Representatives of all consortium partners attended and discussed the progress of activities across the work packages, the results achieved so far, and the key upcoming steps.
As the lead partner of the project, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa, Ms. Maya Milova, Executive Director, and Ms. Gergana Konova, EU Programmes and Projects Expert, presented the overall implementation status of the project, the indicators achieved to date, and the consortium-level reporting framework.
During the meeting, the results of the consortium-wide survey on SMEs needs and ESG reporting barriers were presented and discussed. The collected data will be incorporated into a scientific publication, aimed at promoting the project’s objectives and supporting the development of subsequent activities. In addition, the mapping of EU projects and results on ESG reporting for SMEs was reviewed. The foundations of Work Package 3, which will focus on the development of the project’s main output – the ESG+ Toolbox, were also established.
As part of the partner meeting, a dissemination event was organised to introduce Spanish SMEs to the project objectives and demonstrate how the project can support their ESG reporting and sustainability efforts.
The participation of CCI Vratsa contributed to an active exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of sustainability and good practices in ESG reporting.
